SUNDAY MORNING CHASE RUN

Who's running this coming Sunday morning from the Brocton Road car park?

National Cross Country Relays, Mansfield

Saturday 31st October 09.

Entry forms have now been received for the relays and we want to enter teams in the relays.

This event is now becoming even more popular than the National Cross Country Championships with more runners entering.

The format is a 4 x 5K for senior men and 3 x3K for senior ladies and various junior races.

If you wish to be considered for these races there is a list at the club to put your name on, or contact Ed Smith or Tracy Gee.

HEAD TORCH RUNS ON THE CHASE

From late October the nights are too dark for most people to do a run on the Chase and most Harriers will meet as for Tuesday nights.

BUT, a small band of intrepid Harriers WILL run on the Chase with the aid of HEAD (OR HAND) TORCHES. Use the “Contact me” below to let me know if you are interested in those runs.

Hi Chris, Pete, Mike and all other Stafford Harriers,

Many, many thanks for making me feel so welcome on Tuesday. I enjoyed my run and everyone made me feel very welcome. It was a great to be able to 'escape' for an evening and I felt revitalised for the rest of my training course.

Needless to say, it would be good to see any of you up in North Yorks at any time. I currently run with the Women's Running Network (Harrogate group) and Nidd Valley Road Runners, who organise the famous Guy Fawkes 10 at the beginning of November. (I shall be watching in Runners' World for details of the Stafford half-marathon next spring, and hope to come down for that.)

Once again, many thanks for being such a lovely, friendly club.

LICHFIELD 10K

Hi and well done to all the Harriers that did the Lichfield 10k today, what a lovely run, weather was perfect, set my PB by over 2 minutes so I'm well chuffed,

Hi Pete

I found a great place to run, its very like Cannock Chase, except that its not quite as big, and its generally flatter. Theres an 11k running path which I did yesterday, wont tell you what time I did. Hoping to get fit for when I come back so that I can gert straight into racing again. Best wishes to all.
